11 Sep 2011 – As style leaders on the web have gone mainstream, writers face a struggle to maintain individuality, credibility and make their work pay.Riccardo Tisci, the young Italian fashion designer featured in his collection for Spring/Summer 2010, a strong bright collection of 22 ensembles, all over in just seven minutes. It was one of the shortest fashion shows on record by Tisci, whom is now in his fifth year at the house of Givenchy.
Tisci had been inspired by fashions in the early 1970s, and it was evident in his features including collection of transparent fabrics and sheer bras. The fashion designer, tries to set a world record in his collection for Givenchy with his ensembles out on the catwalk, setting up new standards in ‘fast fashion.’
Tailoring is equally immaculate in his features such as tail coates and tuxedo-trousers while Tisci did not forget to include his features with feathers – Skirts, collars and tops were fashioned from black vulture, emu and crow feathers. Tisci’s one-shoulder gowns were particularly effective with Michelle Obama- a white one shoulder ball gown by Jason Wu – using macramé, feathers and chain as counterpoint against feather-light chiffon and lace.
